AESTHETIC APPRECIATION: PART I.
Feminine and vulnerable.
Native yet foreign.
Peaceful yet unsettling.
I am native and I am foreign.
I am femininity and with that, I am compelled to vulnerability.
I am peaceful, but yet, I am unsettled.
And yet, perhaps,
I am foreign and bound to earth,
Perhaps, I am vulnerable and thus forcefully feminine,
And perchance, it may be that I am unsettled, and yet, I am peaceful.
Perhaps this is possibly, reality.
I love the world she creates.

LA CALAVERA CATRINA.
My mind has been occupied by this face lately. La Calavera Catrina.
She is a zinc etching by Mexican printmaker José Guadalupe Posada and has come to represent somewhat of an icon within Mexican art. For Posada, the figure is a pretty little parody intended to show that those with the gold and sweet threads, despite their "higher" status, are just as susceptible to death as anyone else.
The last photographs are taken in Mexico during The Day of The Dead. My dear Catrina features as a popular gal' and apparently those who had a way with words would write poetry, celebrating the dead. I'm 97% sure that finding some original poems will kill some time.
One more thing - Whilst arousing my eyeballs on some of these images, I came across this amazing mural titled 'Dream of a Sunday in Alameda Park' by Diego Rivera - husband of Frida. I highly recommend you perve on this painting for a while.
In the centre of the mural, Rivera depicts himself at a child, led by the hand of La Calavera Catrina.
Oh, just a side note - this mural is fifty feet long. HERE

DON'T IGNORE THE RAT FOR HE IS A PIONEER IN DISGUISE.
I've always liked the underdogs...like Howard Moon. This is Blek Le Rat.
While Banksy is in the limelight, don't forget about the ones sneaking around, making a point.

IT ENDED WITH A CHAIR.
Su-Chin: I'm having a little trouble concentrating.
Juno MacGuff: Oh well I could sell you some of my Adderall if you want.
Su-Chin: No thanks I'm off pills.
Juno MacGuff: That's a wise choice because I knew this girl who like had this crazy freak out because she took too many behavioral meds at once and she like ripped off her clothes, and dove into the fountain at Ridgedale Mall and was like, "Blah I am a Kracken from the sea!"
Su-Chin: I heard that was you.
Juno MacGuff: Well, it was good seeing ya Su-Chin.
